Who ever once said that Valentine’s Day is a gimmick to make guys  spend money? Does February 14th of every year mean that every guy with girlfriends has to dig a hole in their pockets?

Weeks before valentine’s day, we’ve decided to spend it back in Penang, Malaysia since we’re going back soon. (Oh, and because the present I planned to get him, couldn’t make it in time. LOL!) We planned to go Eden, The Ship for our valentine’s day celebration in April. So, I really didn’t expect anything. Honest! Well, as the old saying goes, make everyday valentine’s day. Into one year relationship with him, everyday really IS valentine’s day. Oh well, at least February 14th should be a little more ‘extraordinary’ than normal days.

He made an appointment with the hairdresser days before Feb 14th so I thought he didn’t have anything planned that day. I asked should we buy some steak to have for dinner? He said, it’s too expensive since we’re saving up money for my tuition. So I thought we’re celebrating it in Penang. Okay lah, I at least wanted this day to be a little different than an ordinary day. So, I was disappointed la.

When I woke up early in the morning, it was raining heavily. KP said, let’s go out for breakfast! I was like “What? In this weather?” Yea. So we went to grab some Mc’Donald breakfast and he took me to a park where I’ve always wanted to go picnic. He said, “Sorry darling, I planned for us to have picnic here, but it’s raining.”  So we both sat in the car, with rain as heavy as can be, having our breakfast. Although we can’t have breakfast as he planned, it was beautiful enough to have breakfast in the rain, in the beautiful park.

As we woke up very early (used to it due to our working time), I felt like taking a nap around noon. This is after we came back from the hair dresser la. With a kiss on my forehead, we both fell asleep, me in his arms which is the safest place in the world.  When I woke up 2 hrs later, he was already awake. He pretend to ask me to get something from my room, and to my surprise, this is what I saw on my cupboard:

It’s a USB heart shaped pendant with necklace which I saw in a magazine which I CASUALLY say that it’s pretty. He remembered! I myself have forgotten about it. He said he bought it about a month ago…

Think that valentine’s surprises ends here? Think again. Around evening, he told me to stay in my room as he wanted to prepare dinner. He cooked us both a scrumptious meal for 2 which looks like this:

Yes, it’s candle light diner in his room. But I am equally as happy as having candle light dinner in some high class restaurant which you gotta pay ten times more during valentine’s day.

Can you not feel the sweet-ness in your heart just by gazing into the light?

We had a romantic dinner in his room. With wine, candles and kisses.

Okay, enough surprises for a day. It was more than I could handle. Getting ready for bed, another surprise awaits….

Spending the 2nd valentine’s day with him, he is still full of surprises. Thanks, darling. For making me the happiest girl ever. Being loved is one of the greatest feeling a girl could ever experience. Smiles all over even when I’m asleep (Duh, can i not smile ? ). Still think that the more expensive your gift is, the more happier she’ll be? We’re merely students, and I’m as happy as can be. Think that I’m easy to please? Ask any girl to read this, and ask them what they think. It’s not about how much the gifts are, it’s the thought and effort that counts! Well, of course, still, there’s a certain amount of money involved ;-p

What is that I hear? Valentine’s day has passed for almost a month now, why am I bringing all of this up? Jeng, jeng jeng… Because… this…

just turned up on my doorstep yesterday requesting me to sign for it! Okay, you can guess by now, that my favorite color is pink, which is why during my college days, Alex given me the nickname: Pinky Koay. No, don’t get me wrong. I’m not close to the guys at that time… just classmates la. He gave me this nickname coz my clothes is mostly in pink.

You guys must be thinking: Ceh.. all girls oso like pink. Not the same ok? Pink got different pink wan. Got hot pink, got the geli pink, got baby pink… etc… And my darling took the trouble to look around for the perfect MY pink keyboard for me. And not simply anyhow mix mix color keyboard… The chio-est my favourite pink color with alot of functions on top wan k?

This is supposedly to be my another surprise valentine’s day present. But due to trouble and difficulties in shipment, it arrived yesterday. I was still surprise nevertheless. And happy! Extremely happy that my eyes were wet. *blush*  Nothing beats the feeling of being loved and treasured. So, thinking this matter is worth blogging, So, here it is! Without packaging. I know it looks like it, but it doesn’t feel cheap or low quality wan okay? When you type, it’s very soft touch and silent wan. Was using Logitech keyboard before this, and this is way much better… in terms of functions and quality la. In terms of looks, no need to say redi, this one win anytime!
