A good, meaningful poem always manage to touch our hearts or reminds us what used to be good. We, humans are always so caught up with the things of the world that sometimes we lose track of our innocence without even realizing. Here, is a poem written by a friend of mine, Jason Leong which touches on one of humans natural action which seem so harmless yet destructive in today’s world.

Listen up gossipers;
you know who you are;
Those things outta your mouth;
Can travel very far.

Don’t go about spreading slander;
Leviticus 19:16 said;
Do not do anything that endangers for;
you’ll determine your victim’s fate.

Have a heart, don’t start;
Judging ain’t no fun;
Matt 7:1 warned us not to, else;
We too will be judge by someone.

Eliminate those unwholesome talks;
Tame your tongue, my bredens;
Say helpful words for building others needs;
That benefit those who listens. (Eph 4:29)

Without wood a fire goes out;
Like a disease, it stops spreading;
Without gossips, quarrels dies down;
That’s what Solomon, in Prov 26:20 was saying.

Trustworthy friends will keep your secrets;
When talking, they protect and speak with care;
A gossiping friend betrays your confidence;
Choose who you share your secrets with, beware beware. (Prov 11:13 )

Proverbs 18:8 – “The words of gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.”

A message from the author:

“Shalom my brothers and sisters in Christ,
I made this little poem not to criticize certain individual or to send a certain message but to remind you brothers and sisters in Christ; that we should be accountable for the the words that come out of our mouths and should hold our tongue sometimes to prevent damage to someone elses feelings or lives. You wouldn’t want others to say horrible things about you, right? Like wise, others will be hurt if you say horrible things about them.

Pastor can’t stop you from gossiping. Only we ourselves can tame our own tongue.

All glory goes to God”
